MAGDI GREISS ‘’ The new Egyptian Museum in Cairo’’ 16th September

This week we had one of our regular speakers with us. Magdi Greiss came to tell us all about the new Egyptian Museum in Cairo and our members were fascinated with the detail Magdi was able to tell us about the museum and his homeland that he had left nearly 50 years ago.

His presentation included lots of photographs of the museum and their prized exhibits including Tutankhamen’s sarcophagus.

His description of the structure of pyramids and his brief look at some of the stories behind the Egyptian Empire was really interesting and sparked a lot of questions when he finished.
We’re looking forward to his next visit.
